Girdling of shoots at flowering reduces shatter in grapevine cv. Malbec.

The phenomenon is known as ‘shatter’ and this study aims to explore the potential of applying the shoot girdling technique at flowering, to direct the carbohydrate partitioning towards inflorescences and reduce shatter.
